Laurent has spent 30 years building the technology that runs customer experience at the world's largest companies — as CTO, COO, CEO, and the person who shipped the industry's first AI deployment in CX in 2018, before it was a trend, a category, or a budget line.

His path through this industry has been uncommon. Starting at Alcatel, then Genesys — where he held the roles of CTO, COO, and ultimately CEO — then to Cisco as GM and CTO of the Collaboration Technology Group, then to Avaya as SVP/CTO and later SVP of Innovation, and finally to Servion as CEO. Each move gave him a different vantage point on the same fundamental challenge: how do you get technology to genuinely improve the experience between a company and its customers?

He has seen that challenge from the product side, the strategy side, the P&L side, and the customer side. He has advised startups through successful exits. He has made the decisions that enterprises agonize over — which platform to bet on, which AI capability is ready and which is still vaporware, when to build and when to buy.

Karl has spent 30 years on the revenue side of CX technology — how products find markets, how partners get activated, how alliances get built, and ultimately how companies grow. He led the Genesys Worldwide Partner and Alliances organization through a period of rapid expansion, driving over $500 million in revenue through the channel while the company scaled toward a large private equity exit.

Before and after that, he served as President and CRO at two CX cloud companies and guided both through successful exits. That means he has sat across the table from the buyers that enterprises are now trying to reach — and he knows what makes them trust a new vendor, what kills a deal in the final stages, and what the RFP process looks like from the other side.

Karl has helped companies of all sizes grow through both channel and direct sales organizations, including established brands and startups. His passion outside work includes skiing and promoting the advancement of abilities and inclusion within disability communities.
